Food

Enjoy a hearty full English breakfast in our beautiful stone built garden room with lovely views over the Derwent Valley and the gardens.

As an alternative to the traditional English breakfast, enjoy fresh fruit compote served with natural yogurt, followed by scrambled eggs, made using local free-range eggs, with smoked salmon, served on wholewheat toast. Finish off with hot croissants and locally produced preserves or heather honey, accompanied by freshly brewed coffee.

After 11am you can enjoy the services of our Tea Rooms (See our TripAdvisor Tea Room Reviews), serving locally sourced and produced food, morning coffees and teas as well as speciality coffees, light lunches, traditional English cream teas and is now licensed to sell alcohol - Byermoor Tea Rooms is proving very popular both with local customers and residential guests.

Make the most of the fantastic opportunity to watch the region’s famous Red Kites, which can regularly be seen from the tea rooms as they soar over nearby Gibside Estate or even our own gardens.
