Our charming, tastefully refurbished cottage, dating back to 1800, was once part of the Gibside Estate (National Trust) and is set in 1½ acres of landscaped gardens and meadow. Adjoining the owners' home and situated amidst beautiful local scenery, the house is in an elevated position with magnificent views from the rooms across the Derwent Valley and Whickham golf course.

Large beamed living/dining-room with sofa bed (for +2), electric `wood burner' and wooden floor. Well-equipped farmhouse-style kitchen with tiled floor and original dairy window. Utility. Beamed double bedroom. Twin-bedded room with additional pull-out bed (for alternative sleeping only) and TV. Fully tiled bathroom/W.C. with over-bath shower.
